Arjita Sethi - Co-Founder of Equally, talks all things education and creating more accessible learning opportunities through AR for the bottom billion.
From building a vocational school in India that serves 10,000 students a year to running an MVP of her app DaVinci Club AR with 12,000 students in US Arjita, co-founder of Equally is hell-bent on making education more accessible and effective.
The entrepreneurial runs in Arjita's family. Inspired by her mother and encouraged from a young age to be courageous Arjita continues to push the envelope on creating more accessible education for the masses.
She built and ran a vocational school in India teaching educated Indians how to speak English so they could take their work overseas. After building a school that taught 10,000 students a year Arjita decided 10,000 students/year was not big enough. She set out for San Francisco with the focus of building software that could scale well beyond the confines of four walls.
In this episode Arjita shares how she started Equally, her experience with X Prize, and how saying yes has opened door after door for her. You'll hear from Arjita as she is wrapping up her 3rd accelerator in 2018, this one in Finland, as she prepares to return to the US and put all that she has been learning to good use.
